Hi, I’m david, a Fractional Chief Technology and Chief Product Officer.

I’ve started companies, taken multiple companies through successful exits, and architected and built software for giants like Oracle and Google. I’ve worked in EdTech, MarTech, PropTech, and FinTech in engineering and product management roles, often being responsible for both.

I like working with small to mid-size companies, and I’ve found that more often than not, they don’t actually need a full-time CTO or CPO. They need strong full-time managers or directors, but much like they don’t yet need a full-time corporate attorney or CFO, they’d be better served having a fractional person to help their teams with strategy, roadmap development, technical and vendor evaluations, and mentoring for their team. I’ve also been on both sides of acquisitions and investing. Click here to learn more about the services I can help you with, or if you’d like to chat, just ping me here.

I’ve worked with:

David is the type of technology leader that gets the whole picture. He has a deep understanding of how to build good software. David cares deeply about the product and his team, and he knows how to bring the best out in both. When you work with David, you’ll work hard, but you’ll become better because of it. And if you’re willing to work hard on David’s team, he will have your back.

It’s very rare to come across a leader that I’d be willing to follow to more than one company, over the course of many years.
David is that kind of leader.

David is a thoughtful leader and effective communicator, not afraid to ask probing questions to help move a dialogue forward, but also personable and compassionate. He carries himself tirelessly with a strong positive energy that inspires his teams to do their best. He sets the tone with his example and it leads me to want to do my best to maintain that standard.

David cares deeply about the user experience when it comes to the software he manages. He communicates how, with the proliferation of software that exists in the world today, there is no excuse for an unusable product. He’s got a sharp focus when it comes to prioritizing work based around that ethos and is consistently advocating for users.

Jason C

Working with David was a rare privilege. To say that he is innovative is not enough. He is a CIO/CPO that encompasses all the traits you would hope for in a technology leader. He is absolutely a techie that has the respect of the engineers and can talk “nerd” with glee. BUT, he also fully understands the core business requirements and serves a critical role on the executive team. Most importantly, he combines all of this with a forward thinking component that empowers an organization to meet today’s needs while also ensuring they’re positioned to surpass tomorrow’s demands. He does this with panache, partly because he’s brilliant, but also because he’s dedicated and truly cares.
